SUNSHINE BEACH SURF LIFE SAVING CLUB BEGAN PATROLS IN THE SEASON OF 1980/1981 MAKING US ONE OF THE YOUNGEST SURF LIFESAVING CLUBS IN QUEENSLAND.

We are a community organisation run by volunteers dedicated to protecting members of the public who surf and swim at Sunshine Beach; one of the best open beach surfing breaks in Queensland. Our volunteer Lifesavers patrol every weekend and on Public Holidays from the September school holidays until the last weekend in April. Patrol hours are from 7.00am to 5.00pm with extended hours to 6.00pm through the busy Christmas period. Lifeguards patrol the beach at all other times.
